Chilmark grew out of the strange soil of Cape Cod, Massachusetts in the early 1990s where the seasons turned from extraverted summer to desolation winter with a disorienting extremity. Although the band lasted only a handful of years, the mark it left on both the music scene and the people who experienced their live performances was profound.
